Automatic Exchange of Information (AEoI) is a standard which developed through International cooperation between the member countries of the G-20 and the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) in the field of transparency and exchange of information for taxation purposes in a series of efforts to prevent the leakage of state revenue due to Tax Evasion. Originally AEoI initiative was an attempt to alleviate the world financial crisis. At the G-20 meeting in Turkey last year, 2015, Indonesia signed the Multilateral Agreement Competent Authority (MCAA) as one of the early adopters of member countries which committed to begin implementing the AEoI by September 2017. The commitment ends bank secrecy era, and will definitely change indonesian taxation law. Tax haven countries such as the British Virgin Island, Cayman Island, Seychelles also signed the MCAA and stated their commitment to implement the AEoI by September 2017.
